Synplicity Announces Agreement with Flextronics Design to Standardize on Synplicity FPGA Synthesis and Prototyping Products
Multi-Year Agreement Enables Flextronics to Support Customers with Industry-Leading Software from Synplicity
SUNNYVALE, Calif., May 6, 2002 - Synplicity, Inc. (Nasdaq: SYNP), a leading supplier of software for the design and verification of semiconductors, and Flextronics Design, a business unit of Flextronics International and a leading global provider of engineering design services, today announced that Flextronics will standardize on Synplicity's Synplify Pro®, Amplify® Physical Optimizer and Certify® products across Flextronics' worldwide design services organization. The three-year deal provides Flextronics with the worldwide ability to support their customers' design projects with Synplicity's industry-leading FPGA synthesis and prototyping tools. In addition, the two companies have agreed to work closely to ensure compatibility between Synplicity's Synplify ASIC® software and Flextronics' standard ASIC flow. The agreement also provides Flextronics' engineers with training by Synplicity personnel in the United States and Europe to ensure their proficiency with Synplicity® solutions.
